ARC Sign ups to go live 12/1

Hi friends!

Wow. So much has happened in the last three weeks. I got a wild hair to decide to change the ENTIRE NOVEL to first person present tense three weeks before it goes to line edits. Once it goes to line edits, I can make no more changes to it aside from the edits they do. So. WHEW! I got it done and made some other major changes to it. Not that anyone knows what this is but I changed the creepy beings that are Vampire enemies from “Necromancers” to “Grimspawn” and “Changelings or Shifters” to “Formweavers”. I changed the fact that my vampires can “compel” people with their voices to “Veilweaving” and I also made Vampire weaknesses to be silver laden anything. Oh and they can’t look in mirrors that aren’t spelled because they will see the real them (the aged, 236 year old version of themselves) I think it will be fun for future novels to put a character that has looked into a mirror that isn’t spelled and is walking around, all old, a very decrepit old man with only his fangs for teeth.

“Who’s that?” a character asks.

“Oh that’s just Charlie. He looked in a mirror that wasn’t spelled. Now he’s our old friend that just chills and has a Vampire walker.”

How funny will that be?!

So. The novel goes to line edits in about a week. A did a live on TikTok the other week and got some interest in ARC readers—I’ve also been collecting ARC reader names on Instagram and I am gearing up to send out the sign up sheet. I just got done putting it together and it is going out to my subscribers first, on 12/1/2024. So, if you are interested in being and ARC reader, please subscribe to my newsletter. I don’t spam your inboxes. Honestly, I’m so lazy about that, the last one I sent out was in October I believe.

Oops.

Don’t know what an ARC is?

Lemme drop some indie author knowledge on ya.

What is an ARC reader? ARC stands for Advanced Reader or Review copy. You are signing up to read my book for FREE before anyone else, with the hopes that you A.) Enjoy it and B.)  Review it to help others decide if they want to read it as well.

Anyway, even if you don’t sign up for my newsletter, I’m going to be dropping the link for ARC readers like nobody’s business. I need like 700 of ya’ll. Because I feel that if at least 700 people sign up, at least 200 of those people will actually review it.

If you don’t know how important ARC reviews are for indie authors, let me tell you. We don’t have big name publishers dropping dimes on marketing for us, so we are doing ALL the marketing ourselves. By sending out advanced copies for FREE for people to review, we’re doing it in hopes that you ACTUALLY review it. The book is secretly up on Amazon a week to two weeks before actual launch for the reviews to be collected. That way, come launch day, our marketing drives people to Amazon to buy the novel and there are already 200 reviews on it to help them decide if they want to buy the novel.

Easy peasy.

Anyways, hope ya’ll had a wonderful Thanksgiving and let the Yule season commence!

I love you all. Thank you for continuing this ride with me.
